Marie Lu is such a great author--I'd probably read her shopping lists if she published them. Even though I don't usually read YA, she's a writer that I'll always take a peek at. And Stars and Smoke didn't let me down. The prose is so beautiful that even though the premise surrounding a pop star doesn't really pull me in, I'd read more.
