So, I read the excerpt last year and from rereading this excerpt, nothing's changed (that's trad pub for ya). I enjoyed Warcross, but just like Skyhunter, this excerpt has the same problems: trying too hard to tick off all the diversity points as a set dressing, including pandering to the toxic bullying cult of liberal propaganda. What happened to all the good stories with meaningful characters and plots??? This feels like a half-baked idea using K-pop obsession and YA tropes checklist.
