Greed and opportunity rule the day, taking the desperate on the run from some very powerful people. The excerpts that make up this first impression did not attract my attention, making it unlikely that I would be willing to spend time or energy reading the remainder of the book. Snow is a novel that I would probably take a pass on, as I am weary of reading about the rich and their delusions of grandeur at the expense of others. Couple that with degenerate elements of society and my interest was lost completely. The cover art conveys the story well, which might draw some readers.
