For fans of the genre, this drug-laced suspense novel promises plenty of action, high stakes, and underhand deals with the potential to go very wrong very fast. The excerpt didn't give me quite enough to get a good grip on all the different groups who will come into play, but we've already seen slices of the drug cartel, DEA, and the would-be sellers. I'm not attached to any of them yet, but hopefully that would change as the story progresses and we see more of each person's motivations.
