Marie Lu is one of the best YA writers at the moment, she’s written well loved series like Legend, The Young Elites, and Warcross, all of which I’ve read and adored. She’s also written a standalone book, Kingdom of Back and now Skyhunter, the first in a series.
I loved everything about this book. The characters, the world, the plot. EVERYTHING.
It was fast paced, well written and extremely entertaining! It has so many tropes that I adore (found family, brooding love interest) and executed them in new ways.
Not to mention that cover!!! It’s gorgeous! And the edges!? Asdfghjkl.
I seriously cannot wait for the second book to come out. I want to see more of this strongly built world and explore the characters that I’ve come to love wholeheartedly. I have no doubt that Marie lu will not disappoint, we’ll surely be in for another exciting ride!
