I liked that the story immediately began with action, with our main character, Talin, an elite warrior, hunting Ghosts (cool werewolf/zombie types). It really set the stage for the type of fighting and foes to expect. The world-building is gradual and is presented as it applies to the story, that way you are not overwhelmed with a lot of "info-dumping."
