I had such a good time reading it, and I'm so excited to read the sequel.
It was action-packed. It was steamy. It had excellent morally grey characters. I'm so interested in seeing how the duology will conclude! I'm already on the wait-list at the library so I can get my hands on it as quickly as possible after it comes out.
I read a lot of Young Adult literature, and some of it just really doesn't enable me to suspend my disbelief. Skyhunter has characters that curse, kill, and kiss. It was compelling, convincing, and I get why people have been on the Marie Lu band wagon for so long. This novel isn't any different. I wish I had read more of her work when I was an actual teen. The stuff I was reading was definitely not this good. This book doesn't pull any punches. It doesn't hide from the hard stuff, and I really liked and appreciated that about it. I am still thinking about it all these months later and cannot wait to pick up the conclusion novel!
