Marie Lu knows exactly how to write, and she absolutely nailed it in this one.
As someone who is a child of a deaf parent, I was hesitant to see how they would go about discussing sign and using it in the book. Often, it’s mentioned once that sign is used, then never discussed again.
But that is not how it is done in this book, and I absolutely love and appreciate that so so much.
Along with that, just the entire story is beautiful and incredible.
Emotion is captured so deeply, and I highly encourage everyone to read this book any chance you get.
