The original Legend trilogy by Marie Lu (which I know has additional books, hence I say "original") is my favorite YA series of its genre. Marie Lu knows how to write captivating characters that can appeal to more than just the YA audience-- and as a plus, she knows how to write a satisfying end to a series! I am happy to start another series by Marie Lu and I trust her judgement on where she takes her characters and story.
While the prologue of "Skyhunter" reminded me of "The Quiet Place"- don't make a noise!-- the following chapters threw me into the story line immediately. Main character, Talin, does not talk- but she is a no-nonsense, hard-working, neck-slicing killer of Ghosts. I am already hooked and look forward to seeing what craziness Talin gets herself into.
