The cover is eye catching with a vibrant, potent array of mostly cool colors. Although, the character standing back in defiance seems a little generic to me. But I love the addition of the silhouette of the bird, which I assume is relevant to the book’s themes. Additionally, the synopsis is interesting, unique from most other contemporary ya fantasy with the theme of survival at its center.
