I really liked this first look! I got some Attack on Titan and The Expanse (Amazon) vibes! It was really interesting and right up my alley. I cannot wait to read this one!
I really liked that even though Talin is a refugee from Basea, which means she gets really mean remarks from citizens of Mara, that her friend Corian sees past that all and communicates with her using sign language since she hasn't spoken since Basea fell. He evens asks that an exception be made for Talin since Baseans aren't allowed to be Strikers, and she is then allowed to be a striker and provide for herself and her mother.
I am really excited to read the rest of this book!
