Especially with fantasy or sci fi books, I feel like the first page or two is also super important for setting the tone of word-building. This intro about Ghosts is one of the stronger intro's I've read on here. I was immediately intrigued and ready to keep going to learn more!
I also like how quickly we get some action and to interact with these Ghosts. I think "showing rather than telling" is a much better way to worldbuild. Very excited to read more of this book!
