The prologue snatched my attention right away, and I couldn't wait for more. However, the first few pages after that were quite overwhelming with a lot of new information. Since this is a completely new storyworld to me, it felt a little hard to acclimate myself to the world with all that information being tossed at me right away. However, as soon as Corian stepped onto the page, I immediately started enjoying the story. He definitely seems like someone I'd want to have as a Shield. Completely loyal. And then he's gone, and even though I'd just met him, I was devastated. Can't wait to find out what happens with the Ghosts and Talin without her Shield!
