I am so impressed with this novel so far! Marie Lu’s writing is very enthralling. I was immediately drawn into the story and found myself captivated by the world the author has created. The novel revolves around a group of “strikers” who have to defend their homeland against the Karensa Federation, who has taken over almost every other nation and created monsters known as “ghosts” who attack the strikers. The main character, Talin, is one of the strikers and a refugee who helps to defend the nation of Mara from attack. She is a very interesting character and I found myself wanting to read more and more of the story to see what would happen. I love how unique the premise of the novel is and the cover is just beautiful with all of the vibrant colors. I would love to read more of this novel so I can see what happens next! This story is so unique and exciting.
