From the prologue, I was immediately gripped and curious to learn more. Lu is quick to establish reader interest and sympathy for the main characters. The worldbuilding and action begin at once rather than bog down the pace with lots of exposition. This is a compelling start to what is sure to be a pageturner of a novel!
