I like reading books about Hollywood back in the ol' days! This sample was intriguing and I like that its told from the point of view of the main character now, as she is remembering back to that time that fueled her desire to be in the movies.
The writing style was easy to read, being descriptive but not overly so. For me personally, I tend to wander when descriptions of something go on for a paragraph before getting back to the story, so the details in this story are perfect. I was a bit confused, since the book description says the story is about Luli and her dreams to be in the movies, but in the excerpt, the person telling the story - about her falling in love with movies - talked about her little sister, Luli. So I am not sure if that's a mess up or I misunderstood, or maybe its explained later in the book.
Either way, this sounds like an interesting story, one I definitely want to read more of!
