Siren Queen by Nghi Vo attracted my attention immediately after reading her interesting premise. I usually don't gravitate to fantasy novels but the idea of a heroine that is so desperate to become a star in Hollywood and is willing to do ANYTHING to get that goal including using magic to kill grabbed me at once.
