I hope the book really does have magic and it isn’t just the “magic of Hollywood”. The idea behind it sounds interesting. Old school Hollywood with a non white main character trying to make it on her own terms and not sell her soul. I loved that she would rather play a maid than a monster. Makes you wonder if you story will make certain characters turn into a monster.
