This seems amazing. I mean, it's Nghi Vo so I shouldn't be too surprised, but from the premise I wasn't sure if this one would interest me. The era and the subject matter are not really things that gripped me. But let me tell you, Nghi Vo's writing is always beautiful and she managed to have me engrossed by the second page. I'll definitely be reading this one.
