I've been reading a lot of historical fiction pieces lately and this one seems like it might be right up my alley, with a dash of fantasy, seeing as how we're talking about the addition of monsters here. I don't even think "monsters" is a metaphor, but perhaps rather a literal fear that's bestowed upon the residents and passerby of the Hollywood region. I'm intrigued! I'd love the chance to get to read this book!
