CAN'T BELIEVE IT ENDED MID-SENTENCE. Ugh. Will definitely be getting ahold of a copy of the book ASAP to keep reading!! The sense of place is so strong - despite knowing very little about the time period described, I immediately felt like I was there. The little tidbits of magic sprinkled in add an eerie air to it, and I can't wait to see how the characters & the world develop over the course of the story.
