The opening of Siren Queen is darkly alluring, the innocence of childhood against the backdrop of what we know will be revealed as a darkly magical system. The way she is slowly drawn in to the supposed glamour of filmmaking and acting has that inevitable pull of a slippery slope - we know she will become deeply entrenched and the bargains will get more dangerous, but we can't look away from it.
