I love Nghi Vo's writing, though I'm generally not a huge fan of historical fiction. This has a fantasy twist, as is common in her work, and feels so engaging. The magic of film may be a bit more literal in this book than you'd expect, and I really enjoyed the sample. Not to mention that the cover and title are GORGEOUS. I'd be excited to read more.
