This books seems INCREDIBLE. Like a better, more nuanced TSHOEH! The writing style is easy, the plot fascinating and foreboding. I love the building of an antihero in our main character, how she uses and will inevitably work within the racism she faces to become a star. I'm expecting some excellent social commentary as to the roles Asian women are supposed to play in our society and how the silver screen is informed by evils behind the scenes and in the real world. Cannot wait for this to come out!
