This was my first taste Nghi Vo's work and certainly not my last! Her masterful use of symbolism and metaphors as she discussed Luli's experiences in making it in 1930's Hollywood blew me away. This book may be historical fiction, but it does target issues that are still relevant in Hollywood today. Kudos to Nghi Vo for such a brilliant book!
