If I’m being honest, this genre is generally just not for me. I’m not big into sports. But the synopsis sounded like something that could hook me in, so I decided to give the first look a try. Unfortunately, that didn’t pan out how I hoped it might. The writing style isn’t for me- it’s often too wordy in a way that takes me out of the story, and the story didn’t grip me enough yet to keep going.
