This book actually mirrors (to a certain extent) what a lot of toddler/child experts in the "gentle parenting" and "conscious discipline" movement are talking about. Today's parents - and the author - are just now "unlearning" the attitudes that formed many of our childhoods. The notion of timeouts, hiding non-positive emotions, and being called "bad" so many times that it became our identity. However, I have a lot of skepticism that his methods will connect with people. There are a lot of people discussing the same concepts in ways that are more accessible than drug adventures in Bali. I'd recommend checking out Mr. Chazz for incredible discussions on breaking generational cycles, identity, self-worth and more.
