I knew from the title that this was going to be a heavy book with a difficult subject matter. The cover though isn’t what you would expect from a self-help book it doesn’t give it away. Instead it is a pretty cover and I suspect they did that on purpose so you would want to pick it up. I’ve been told by many that reading self-help books can be great particularly if you are going though a hard time, or have low self-esteem. Unfortunately while the advice in many of these books can be good I haven’t been able to get past the preachy tone in almost all that I have attempted to read. That in my opinion takes away from the messages of these stories that are meant to be a helpful tool.
