I have been looking forward for to reading Seoulmates by Susan Lee for so long! There have been several books that have been released recently that comp K-dramas and while some may find that repetitive…well, that’s what people say about K-dramas, and yet they are still going strong and wildly popular for a reason! I suppose K-drama in and of itself has become a sort of trope that works so well in so many different stories and it’s so satisfying every time! Seoulmates is no different. In the start of this book, Hannah Cho’s entire life is turned upside down, beginning with getting dumped by her perfect boyfriend Nate, with whom she had planned out her entire summer. Without him, she finds herself feeling lost. What’s worse is that everyone around her is identifying with all things Korean, a culture and identity Hannah has pushed away in favor of fitting in with American culture. As you might imagine, Hannah goes on a journey throughout this book in discovering who she is all while experiencing the popular friends to lovers trope. This book was so much fun and I highly recommend it!
