Good but too much miscommunication
Seoulmates started out as a delightful tale of second chance love. I enjoyed watching Hannah and Jacob come together and experience love again. It was adorable and sweet and I liked the concept of identity and how it relates to your culture. Being “Americanized” versus “Koreanized”. The first 60% of the book was truly great! Probably 4/5 stars.
Then we get all the miscommunication. It just stacks up and up and UP. One after another, so much miscommunication and misunderstanding that I felt whiplash. I was so disappointed in both characters when they didn’t trust one another. It was frustrating and not at all fun. I get one time, but it just kept going trying to give us more plot?
Then I hated that the conflict was…. Avoidable? And the main reason it existed was because a parent waited too long to give her child options.
Overall I felt so annoyed by the end of the book and not at all happy with how it got there.
