Overall, the book was a fairly easy read; I finished in about a day. The romance is very fast-paced, so the story moves quickly, with lots of twists and turns. The main character, Hannah, struggles with her Korean-American identity, as well as her fear of abandonment. Her childhood-best-friend-turned-Kpop-star, Jacob, is reunited with her years after their falling out. In the sunny setting of San Diego, the two main characters work out their issues and rekindle their friendship, which eventually blossoms into romance. While it was a cute story, it contained a lot of basic tropes that quickly get old in the romance genre. Additionally, there were portions of the stories where both of the main characters frustrated me immensely, although I think much of this immaturity can be attributed to the fact that they are high school students. In total, a fun read with great representation!
