Adorable and swoony YA friends-to-more story
I knew noting about K-pop or K-dramas before reading Seoulmates but I still found myself fully immersed in the story about Hannah and Jacob. It's been quite a few years since I was a teen but this book was so well written that I felt as if I was one and if I was, I'd definitely want friends like Hannah and Jacob.
I feel like the storyline of Hannah and Nate is universally relatable - that first relationship in high school that inevitably ends for one reason or another. Nate was also an interesting character to me - I wanted to strongly dislike him but do feel that he eventually had some redeeming qualities.
I wish the storyline of Hannah and Jacob was universally relatable. Maybe not the dating a famous K-drama actor part but the part of finding someone that young to experience a first true love with - someone who knows, and accepts, who you really are.
Both storylines are important at the impressionable age of the late teenage years. If I had a teenager in my house, I'd highly recommend they read this.
