Seoulmates starts a dual-perspective, YA romance where the stage is set for some conflict, a lot of personal growth and blossoming romance. What's not to look forward to? I'm intrigued to learn more about Hannah and Jacob's backstory, especially their childhood friendship (and possibly more?!) as well as how they'll come together over the course of the summer vacation when Jacob and his family stay with Hannah and her family in sunny San Diego after living in Korea for several years. Maybe the tropes are similar to other YA and romance stories, but the writing and characters are engaging and I can imagine that there will be plenty of awkward and sweet moments in the later chapters.
