While I was initially worried I wouldn't "get" this book without a bunch of background knowledge on kpop and kdramas, turns out that, through Hannah's lack of knowledge on the same topics, her perspective offers a good, neutral way to introduce even people like me who've been living under a rock to these concepts! I enjoyed her perspective in general as well as Jacob's, and felt like they were both distinct and fun to read. I also thought that there was some good set-up of conflict in how their friendship ended as well as a clear path for them to start working together so that Hannah can learn more about kdramas from him. The only thing I wasn't 100% sold on was the different taste in media being worth a breakup, but I think it works fine as a setup for the plot. Overall this seems like a cute book with interesting, realistic characters!
