I loved how the clipped writing style reminded me of old school PI/detective movie narration, but the first impression I got from the main character was extremely unpleasant, particularly after the last page of the first chapter. I hope there is some ulterior motive to her going home with a dude who would get mad that she doesn't want to sleep with him because otherwise, it's definitely off-putting. I do really like the title and the cover and wish the first impression had been longer to give me a better sense of the main character.
