The premise to Save Me From Dangerous Men sounds interesting, and I was intrigued by the comparisons to other action-packed thrillers like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Jack Reacher. However, I feel like the writing suffers from typical "men writing women" bad fiction cliches--the heroine describes herself when she looks at her own reflection. The men around her are all sexually attracted to her and mainly interact through either: (a) leering, or (b) sad attempts at flirting. It seems like the author is trying to create a badass feminist hero, but it comes across as incredibly pandering and missing the mark. The first chapter doesn't seem like a very promising start.
