I really, really loved the cover on this one! It’s strong and fierce which is what I hoped the book would be. This actually felt a bit long to me and I wish some of it had been scaled back. The dialogue was quite good, as was the writing but I wanted much more from the characters. They were hard for me to connect to, especially the main character. There was this big bad empire which I wanted to learn more about as well as the government. Instead we get the whole speaking up thing so this felt like one of those hidden agenda books when instead I just want an escape from the real world. I want to be thrown into a world where I can really want to never leave, whether the place is good or horrible.
