I'm not the right audience for this kind of book. The cover already tells me it's not a style, genre, or plot that I'd enjoy. The story opens with a bit too much description for my taste, and the wording "Lexi rises from the building’s translucent appendage and smooths the colorful material of the formal wrap she wears." is a bit wordy. I would've preferred the "appendage" to be called a bench.
