Although the cover of the book is rather interesting, and the writing is written with much intellect there is just too much politics. If I want to escape to a fantasy realm I really do not want to have chapters of ongoing politics, extremely difficult names to remember, or that the realm is so vast from the introduction that it is difficult to grasp everything. I think a slow build of a realm is much more effective.
