For me there was way too much description at the beginning. I know it’s important to stage a scene for the reader to draw him into the world of your characters, but that much without a break for a little dialogue made me weary. Once the characters started interacting with dialogue my interest picked up. There are some interesting characters here and the mystery of the disappearance of Brio to move the story along now. I’m just not a big fan of fantasy, however. Many will enjoy this.
