I was apprehensive starting this book. The cover doesn't appeal much to me, and the reviews seem to be a little negative.
I don't get that at all. The writing style gives a lot of details and information about a new world without making the story line confusing. Any "new" words are clear from the context, and the context is well explained, as any world building should be.
The first look seems to be an excellent start into Lexi's story, her husband's disappearance, and what seems to be a government cover up. I'm excited to find out.
