This is a high(?) fantasy action/adventure novel. I'm sure the rest of the book will be action packed, but the beginning did not hold my attention. The first chapter is mostly introducing a couple characters and telling us about the Gens, the Franchise Council, and the Crachian machine. All important facts to know, I'm sure, but I was bored while reading about them.
