First, this books sounds fantastic; however, the cover makes no sense to me. It looks very YA, and I am not loving the animated character look. Also, why is he holding two weapons? That doesn't seem practical (haha!). I think this cover would have been better served with more mystery to it. Perhaps, some darkness with flames and the axe in the background as a subtle hint. For me, the synopsis sounds mature and multifaceted, but the cover seems a bit "middle school" if that makes sense. If I saw this in the bookstore, I would not pick it up to read the summary. That being said, I am happy BookishFirst gives me chances to look into books I otherwise would not have!
