I love a good thriller~ and a TECH thriller at that! I was intrigued at first look with this one!

First off, the cover: I really like it! It definitely caught my eye and made me curious to learn more about the plot. It kind of reminds me of mixing both the elements of Chicago's notorious skyscrapers with the stock market's lit-up boards and symbols. Very cool!

The overall plot and story are very interesting as well - I loved getting swept into this world of high-stakes crime! The dynamic duo of Jackson and Dixie was very interesting as well. One thing that didn't quite meet my high hopes was the jargon / technical lingo. Since this is a tech thriller, there is a lot of terminology that is thrown around that may be confusing to readers that do not have much of a background in information technology. Having worked in infosec myself, I did notice that some of the "shoptalk" did NOT add up... At times there were terms used improperly or in a way that were not entirely logical to how it would be used in real life.

Overall, the plot was decent and did keep my interest most of the time. I did feel as though some of the "chapters" lacked depth and fell short at times. I would recommend this novel to those that are interested in the tech thriller genre or high-stakes crime novels.

Upon finishing the novel, my review still stands about the same. The technical jargon kind of stopped during the last half or so of the novel.

As for that ending though - that was a saving grace for me! That was my favorite part of the entire novel in all honesty.
