I was really disappointed in this book. I always have high hopes for thrillers, but overall I found this one disjointed and difficult to follow. The narration jumped between characters and settings without clear transitions and overall the characters were very flat and one dimensional, which made them even harder to keep track of. I’m honestly not entirely sure what the plot of the novel was because it was so hard to track. It tried to follow the basic recipe of thrillers in the style of Dan Brown or Steve Berry but it honestly failed. The author didn’t include pertinent details to the characters to make it clear what they were doing when and why. I found myself rereading large sections and still not being entirely sure what was going on. In the end, I was left wondering what it was that I had just read because it didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me.
