I wish I'd gotten this book sooner because I only had one day to read it before the pub date. However, this was a fast read. Like many of the other reviewers noted, I could not put this book down. I loved the plot of this book - it was exciting, but also not so far fetched a concept. The interconnectedness of our world these days makes us susceptible to electronic invasions. And the idea of an economy just shutting down doesn't seem unreal either. After all, a year ago most of us couldn't have envisioned our 2020 world shutdown either, right? As I raced my way through this book, anxious to find out "what happens next?", I also carried a sense of dread that this could all actually happen one day. And given Ewing's career background, it's kind of scary that he came up with this idea! Maybe it's a more real threat than one might casually consider. This was a great debut book and I have to say I'm hoping that Ewing might continue this on as a series. Jackson's team is solid and I feel like he left the door open for a series to take shape. I definitely recommend this book to anyone that likes thrillers. It's well written, fast paced, and very entertaining. Thanks BookishFirst!
