An absolute classic adventure thriller perfect for fans of Tom Clancy, W.E.B. Griffin, and perhaps for fans of Clive Cussler.
Jam packed with action from the very first page, it is no surprise that this book was made into a blockbuster film (fun bookish fact: Andy Serkis, voice of Gollum in Lord of the Rings makes an appearance in the film. Not as Gollum, though).
While a classic action thriller in many ways, there is also a touch of romance in this book which may draw in readers who don't usually read this genre.
Overall, there were a few points where I did wish the plot slowed down a bit to allow for more development/subtly, but I recognize that this genre is largely a "go-go-go" genre so wasn't overly surprised at the overall pace.
My general consensus is that fans of this genre will unsurprisingly enjoy this read and it may also appeal to the general reader as well.
