Sergeant Tom Buckingham is derelict in his responsibilities as an officer of the SAS, as he is not supposed to be out of range for any reason. On the Eurostar to Paris, trying to convince his girlfriend Delphine to stay, Tom ends up the lone man against a group of terrorists that have taken the passengers hostage. Will Tom be able to use his training to stop the terrorists before lives are lost?

SAS: Red Notice reads like a movie, so I am not surprised to learn that it did become one. Fast paced with non-stop action, this novel does not have a lot of depth. Although the characters are interesting, they are not developed fully. The reader learns Tom's shortcomings from Delphine's musings, with the telling of the story from her biased viewpoint. I am not really a fan of military style thrillers, especially ones like this that go too far into strategy and military tactics. That being said, the novel is fast paced and quick, despite it being almost 400 pages. Those who like military thrillers, especially those who like Tom Clancy novels, may like SAS: Red Notice.
