This book was really subpar for me. I didn't really like the characters and felt absolutely no chemistry between the leads. It felt truly antagonistic in a very serious way and I also found itself to be very repetitive. I love it when stories are set around food because when they describe the food in the story I want to eat. But this book never gave me that. The two main leads felt like children and I know they're teenagers in the book they were written more as middle schoolers than high schoolers. They had very little chemistry and couldn't really invest in their love story. There were too many elements being stuffed into one book. Pedro wants to go to cooking school, so does Larissa, the grief over their grandmother's passing, the big chain trying to take over. They tried to put every romantic cliche possible into one book and felt like I couldn't invest in any part of it. This was not for me.
