Sugar and Spice and everything nice. NOT. I've always been in love with the ROmeo and Juliet trope, so I just had to pick up this book! The cover was absolutely adorable and that coupled with the baking theme, I just had to devour the entire thing.
First, I love the characters. Both Lari and Pedro are so real and lovable, you can't help but feel invested in their stories! I also loved the setting. I haven't read many books set in Brazil so this was a breath of fresh air. And all of the pastries? How does this author know exactly what I love? I could actually smell bread and butter in the air as I read and definitely had to get up more than once to get a snack to go with my read. I loved the drama. I definitely rolled my eyes more than once but it was such a fun read, I could feel myself grinning creepily by the end. Definitely would recommend for romance fans.
